Head of Group Financial Reporting

About the role

Our client, a well‑established Irish group with multiple entities, is seeking a Head of Group Financial Reporting to join the finance leadership team and report directly to the CFO. The role will oversee the preparation of consolidated accounts, drive reporting processes and ensure compliance across the group.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare consolidated monthly management accounts and annual financial statements across group entities.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies in line with relevant standards and regulatory requirements.
• Drive process improvements and automation across financial reporting and operations.
• Manage the annual audit process end‑to‑end, including external auditor relationships.
• Oversee intercompany recharges and reconciliations on a systematic basis.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking against budget.
• Prepare board papers and support treasury and working capital management.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure reporting integrity.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 8‑10+ years of senior financial reporting experience.
• Strong background in group consolidation and multi‑entity financial management.
• Experience working with senior leadership on financial strategy and reporting.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and modelling skills.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Adaptable, detail‑oriented, and a strong relationship builder.
