Healthcare Assistant – Dublin 3

About the role

InisCare is seeking compassionate Healthcare Assistants to support customers in Dublin 3 and surrounding areas. You will help individuals live safely and comfortably at home by providing personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personal care such as bathing, dressing, and incontinence assistance.
• Prepare meals and perform light housekeeping tasks.
• Follow safety protocols, including safe moving and handling.
• Report any concerns about customers or colleagues to the manager.
• Document all tasks accurately in daily logs.
• Maintain confidentiality and attend required training.
• Promote dignity, respect, and autonomy for each customer.
• Communicate professionally with customers throughout each shift.

Required profile

• QQI Level 5 Health Care Award or equivalent.
• Completed training: Children’s First, Safeguarding, Dementia Care, GDPR, Infection Prevention and Control, Hand Hygiene, PPE use (all HSE‑LAND).
• Empathy, teamwork, adaptability and a willingness to support colleagues.

Required skills

• Basic patient care techniques (bathing, dressing, feeding).
• Mobility assistance and exercise support.
• Use of healthcare equipment and devices.
• Infection prevention and control procedures.
• PPE donning and doffing in community healthcare settings.
