Indirect Tax Advisory Consultant

About the role

Stripe is seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Advisory Consultant to support its international expansion. Based in Dublin or London, you will act as the go‑to expert on global VAT/GST matters, helping the business navigate complex tax environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide indirect tax (VAT/GST) advisory to Stripe’s business and finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support the management of indirect tax audits and interactions with tax authorities worldwide.
• Collaborate with indirect tax compliance leads and accounting teams to enhance compliance processes.
• Assist product and engineering teams in defining requirements for tax‑related solutions.
• Promote indirect tax awareness through training and communication of legislative changes.
• Contribute to policy discussions affecting indirect taxes internationally.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of hands‑on experience with indirect tax laws and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree and professional qualification in tax or law.
• Previous in‑house experience at a multinational corporation and/or experience at a legal or accountancy firm.
• Strong ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non‑tax professionals.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of global VAT/GST regulations and compliance.
• Experience managing indirect tax audits and liaising with tax authorities.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with finance, product, and engineering teams.
