Information Technology Support Specialist (Permanent)

About the role

Our client in Dublin is seeking an Information Technology Support Specialist to join the team on a permanent basis. The role provides high‑level technical support to internal users, ensuring business‑critical systems run smoothly. You will act as an escalation point and collaborate closely with infrastructure and systems teams.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver advanced technical support across hardware, software and cloud‑based environments.
• Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve escalated IT incidents and service requests.
• Serve as an escalation point for first‑line support and coordinate with infrastructure and systems administrators.
• Support and administer Microsoft Azure environments.
• Manage user accounts, permissions and access controls.
• Maintain accurate records of IT assets and support activities.
• Assist with IT asset management processes and lifecycle tracking.
• Participate in projects such as hardware rollouts, software deployments, upgrades and migrations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, knowledge‑base articles and support procedures.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Technical Support, Service Desk or IT Support Analyst role.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent customer service and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple support issues simultaneously.
• Proactive, detail‑oriented and comfortable working both independently and within a team.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure administration.
• Microsoft 365 technologies, including SharePoint.
• IT Asset Management processes.
• Hardware and software support in cloud‑based environments.
