About the role
We are seeking experienced Maintenance Technicians to join a high‑performing engineering team at a modern food production facility in Naas. Working on a 24/7 operation, you will maintain, improve and install equipment across production and packaging areas to ensure optimal plant performance.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards and maintain a safe, organised work area following 5S principles.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical and automation equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns and minimise downtime.
- Perform statutory and electrical compliance checks, support planned shutdowns and record all activities in the CMMS.
- Identify and implement improvements to preventive‑maintenance schedules, asset‑care routines and support capital projects.
- Contribute to continuous‑improvement programmes using tools such as 5 Whys and root‑cause analysis to reduce waste and improve reliability.
- Coach junior technicians, share knowledge across shifts and promote the company’s values of responsibility and teamwork.
Required profile
- Recognised Electrical, Electronic or Automation qualification (essential).
- 3–5 years’ experience in a medium‑to‑high‑speed manufacturing environment, preferably food, beverage or FMCG.
- Proven experience with PLC, SCADA and industrial IT systems (Siemens desirable).
- Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, lean manufacturing and reliability‑centred maintenance.
- Experience using a CMMS for planning, recording and tracking maintenance activities.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with ERP/CMMS systems such as SAP is advantageous.
- Basic commercial awareness of cost drivers and budgeting processes.
