Manufacturing Technician - Night Shift (12-month Fixed Term)

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for the night shift on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. The role supports the production team to achieve overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and total line reject (TLR) targets while ensuring safe and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide immediate support to production during unscheduled downtime and defective‑product situations.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on schedule and update PM records.
• Log equipment downtime, generate shift reports, and follow QRQC and escalation procedures.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis, apply logical troubleshooting, and implement effective containment.
• Support TPM processes, document spare‑part consumption, and collaborate with the spare‑parts technician to optimise inventory.
• Maintain 5S standards, adhere to safety protocols (PPE, LOTO), and ensure safe machine conditions.
• Communicate shift hand‑overs, share relevant information across teams, and provide training to fellow technicians.
• Participate in initiatives to improve equipment performance, reduce setup times, and enhance overall process efficiency.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in Electronic Engineering or an equivalent technical field.
• Willingness to receive on‑the‑job training for specific platforms and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment schematics, manuals, and technical documentation.
• Strong logical thinking and problem‑solving skills for root‑cause determination.
• Commitment to safety standards and participation in emergency response activities.
