Mechanical Design Engineer – Limerick

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Limerick office and support the delivery of mechanical building services across residential, commercial, education and industrial projects, including pharmaceutical facilities. The role offers exposure to technically complex, regulated environments and the chance to work from concept through to completion alongside experienced engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and coordinate mechanical systems for pharmaceutical and other building projects.
• Prepare technical drawings, specifications and project documentation using Revit, AutoCAD and Navisworks.
• Attend site visits and liaise with contractors, consultants and client teams.
• Ensure designs comply with project specifications, standards and quality requirements.
• Participate in design reviews, internal meetings and technical workshops.
• Support commissioning and handover activities where required.

Required profile

• 2+ years’ experience in mechanical building services or pharmaceutical project design.
• Degree qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, chilled water, clean utilities and mechanical systems.
• Experience coordinating with architectural, structural and electrical disciplines.
• Familiarity with pharmaceutical or GMP‑regulated environments is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
