National Sales Manager – UK & Ireland (Machine Automation Solutions)

About the role

Emerson is seeking a National Sales Manager for the UK & Ireland to lead growth of its Machine Automation Solutions portfolio. This fully remote position will drive new business, expand existing accounts, and deliver world‑class customer experiences across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed sales targets by winning new business and growing existing accounts.
• Identify and develop new opportunities, including emerging markets and strategic partnerships.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering tailored solutions that create long‑term value.
• Navigate ambiguity and complex decision‑making environments with agility and resilience.
• Collaborate across business units to maximize opportunities and align with strategic objectives.
• Contribute to a high‑performance sales culture through accountability and knowledge sharing.
• Utilise sales processes and tools such as Solution Selling, account plans, CRM (Salesforce), and structured negotiation techniques.
• Maintain accurate forecasting and booking data throughout the fiscal year.
• Develop deep knowledge of MAS products, competitive landscape, and industry positioning.

Required profile

• Proven "hunter" sales mindset with a track record of exceeding ambitious targets in automation or industrial software B2B.
• Demonstrated ability to secure new business and build long‑term strategic relationships.
• Experience selling projects, solutions, and service contracts with a consultative approach.
• Understanding of Edge, IoT, IIoT and Industry 4.0 technologies.
