Part Qualified Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Part Qualified Accountant to join a well‑established chartered accountancy firm in County Meath. The successful candidate will support the account services team with a variety of audit and non‑audit assignments for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end non‑audit company accounts and related working papers.
• Reconcile balance‑sheet items such as VAT, payroll, leases, hire purchases and fixed assets.
• Post journals using accounting software and assist in the preparation of management accounts.
• Produce statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with deadlines and checklists.
• Support year‑end close‑out, journal entries and corporation tax return preparation.
• Liaise with clients by phone and written correspondence.
• Assist the manager on special client assignments.

Required profile

• Part qualified ACA or ACCA accountant.
• Minimum 2 years of general accounting practice experience.
• Strong financial acumen and a hands‑on approach.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
