Post Primary Teacher – Learning Support

About the role

Waterford and Wexford Education and Training Board (WWETB) is seeking a qualified Post Primary Teacher – Learning Support to join Kennedy College in County Wexford. The successful candidate will deliver curriculum instruction while providing targeted learning support in line with the Teaching Council’s Code of Professional Conduct.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons across assigned subject areas for post‑primary students.
• Identify and assess individual learning needs and implement appropriate support strategies.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents and external agencies to promote inclusive education.
• Maintain accurate records, assessment data and contribute to school reporting.
• Participate in professional development and adhere to school policies and the Teaching Council standards.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification and registration with the Teaching Council of Ireland.
• Experience teaching at post‑primary level, preferably with a focus on learning support.
• Commitment to inclusive practice and continuous professional development.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
