Process Automation Engineer – Dublin, Ireland

About the role

The Process Automation Engineer will deliver high‑quality design solutions for fast‑paced pharmaceutical projects, providing technical leadership and supporting project delivery across Ireland and Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Develop functional requirements within an S88 framework and produce detailed design packages for automation contractors.
• Lead technical activities, mentor junior engineers, and ensure designs meet project, industry, and regulatory standards.
• Attend client meetings and workshops to define and refine project scope, building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
• Support commissioning, FAT/SAT activities, and address technical queries during construction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline.
• Approximately 8 years of experience in Instrumentation & Controls engineering, preferably in pharmaceutical projects.
• Proven experience with process automation in GxP environments and strong understanding of batch structures, equipment modules, and process flow paths.
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem‑solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
