Project Manager – Biopharma Manufacturing (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex, cross‑functional projects within a highly regulated biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment in County Waterford, Ireland. This contract position will oversee initiatives from initiation through execution and integration across multiple sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multi‑disciplinary, multi‑site project teams to deliver key initiatives.
• Define and translate business and customer requirements into clear project scope.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Coordinate resource planning with functional managers.
• Drive execution of project activities in line with agreed scope, schedule, and cost.
• Facilitate regular project meetings and ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
• Establish and maintain strong communication plans across all stakeholders and sites.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimise business impact.
• Manage cost estimation, budget tracking, and forecasting processes.
• Support and oversee project‑related GMP documentation in line with site procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a project leadership role within the biopharma industry.
• Degree in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience managing projects within drug substance or drug product environments.
• Project Management certification (e.g., PMI/PMP) preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of cGMP, GLP, and regulated manufacturing environments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
