Senior Accountant

About the role

We are a well‑established and growing practice in South Dublin looking for a Senior Accountant to take ownership of a varied client portfolio. This is a hands‑on, client‑facing position that offers strong exposure and real responsibility early on, with a clear progression plan.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME‑style clients, delivering high‑quality accounting and advisory services.
• Prepare statutory accounts, tax returns and management reports.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing queries and building long‑term relationships.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of work.
• Support the firm’s modernization initiatives by contributing to system improvements.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified with at least 2 years post‑qualification experience.
• 4‑5 years of experience working in an accounting practice.
• Proven ability to work directly with clients and manage workload independently.
• Experience with SME clients and a desire for long‑term growth within the firm.
