Senior Accountant

About the role

We are a well‑established hospitality group seeking a Senior Accountant to lead the finance function of our busy Galway site. You will deliver accurate financial reporting, support operational performance and collaborate with on‑site management in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and complete balance‑sheet reconciliations to strict deadlines.
• Act as a finance partner to site management, supporting performance analysis and decision‑making.
• Lead budgeting processes and contribute to financial planning.
• Manage weekly cash‑flow forecasting and reporting.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Monitor costs, identify variances and drive efficiencies.
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with financial procedures.
• Support audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
• Deliver financial analysis and reporting to senior management.
• Contribute to finance team projects and group initiatives.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum 3+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management ability.
• Hospitality experience advantageous but not essential.

• Advanced Excel.
