About the role

The Senior Director of Operations will join the Senior Leadership Team of a leading Irish organisation, overseeing a critical operational function of roughly 400 staff. This senior leadership position is responsible for driving operational performance, customer experience, and large‑scale transformation in a highly regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and optimise a complex operational engine serving multiple business units.
• Shape and execute strategy to improve efficiency, resilience, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive customer‑centric transformation programmes and innovation initiatives.
• Collaborate with executive peers, group functions, and governance bodies to influence decision‑making.
• Manage large‑scale change projects across resilience, regulation, and customer experience.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience at COO, Director or equivalent level.
• Track record of managing large teams (≈400 people) and complex operations.
• Experience in a regulated industry with a focus on operational excellence and transformation.
