Senior EHS Advisor / Manager

About the role

This senior position leads the Health & Safety function for an international engineering and process equipment manufacturer based in Limerick. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will shape and continuously improve the organisation's safety strategy and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Health & Safety function across the organisation.
• Design, implement and maintain health & safety practices, procedures and risk‑assessment programmes.
• Analyse training needs, develop and deliver safety training for all employees.
• Promote a strong safety culture and drive safety improvement, awareness and engagement initiatives.
• Develop, monitor and report on Health & Safety KPIs.
• Provide leadership insight to influence decision‑making on safety matters.
• Represent the company with external stakeholders, including the Health & Safety Authority.
• Oversee accident investigation, incident management and safety audits.
• Lead ISO 45001 certification implementation and ongoing maintenance.
• Support safety representatives, committees and cross‑functional collaboration.

Required profile

• Third‑level qualification in Health & Safety or a related discipline.
• Membership of IOSH or a similar professional body (desirable).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience managing Health & Safety in a construction or workshop environment.
• Proven experience with ISO 45001 implementation.
• Experience in continuous improvement environments (desirable).
