Senior Web Application Developer – Toronto, Canada

About the role

Flynn Group of Companies is seeking a Senior Web Application Developer to join its Toronto office. This permanent position offers full relocation support and requires on‑site presence five days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Design, architect, develop, review code and test core web applications.
• Create new features and integrations in collaboration with the team.
• Implement scalable, resilient cloud solutions with security and disaster‑recovery considerations.
• Plan and execute technical deliverables, ensuring high code and test coverage.
• Champion clean architecture, SOLID principles and overall code quality.
• Mentor junior developers and elevate team technical skills.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate needs into solutions.
• Provide off‑hours support and participate in a rotating on‑call schedule.

Required profile

• 10+ years of recent software development experience, with at least 5 years in a senior web‑developer role.
• Post‑secondary education in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Strong experience with .NET / .NET Framework and C#.
• Proficiency in Entity Framework and modern front‑end frameworks (Angular, React, Vue) using TypeScript.
• Hands‑on experience with relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DocumentDB, DynamoDB).
• Experience with Docker, container orchestration (AWS ECS, Kubernetes) and general AWS services.
• Basic networking knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
