Site Maintenance Electrician

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Site Maintenance Electrician to join the engineering team of a leading food processing company in Timoleague, Co. Cork. You will be responsible for keeping all electrical systems and equipment running safely and efficiently, supporting both production and facility services.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and reactive electrical maintenance on production, packaging, and site services equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults on machinery, control panels, motors, sensors and automated systems to minimise downtime.
• Perform electrical installations, repairs and upgrades in line with regulations and company standards.
• Support process and equipment improvement projects to enhance reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure safe and effective equipment operation.
• Assist with maintenance planning, spare‑parts management and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety and electrical safety standards.
• Participate in inspections, testing and certification of electrical systems when required.

Required profile

• Qualified electrician with recognised trade certification.
• Experience in an industrial, manufacturing or food‑processing environment.
• Strong fault‑finding and troubleshooting ability on electrical and automated systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with good communication and organisational skills.
• Flexibility to work a rotating shift pattern.
