Staff Nurse – Permanent & Relief Positions

About the role

Avista is seeking qualified Staff Nurses to join its St Louise’s Centre, delivering person‑centred nursing care to children and adults with intellectual disabilities across three regions in Ireland. The role can be permanent full‑time, part‑time or relief as required.

Key responsibilities

• Provide high‑quality nursing care in line with best practice and research.
• Adopt a holistic, person‑centred approach to support individuals to live their best lives.
• Facilitate community integration and skill development for service users.
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards and person‑centred planning processes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families to deliver coordinated support.

Required profile

• Current NMBI registration.
• Experience working with people with intellectual disabilities.
• Full clean Irish manual driving licence.
• Proficiency in English.
• Desirable: RNID registration, knowledge of person‑centred planning, awareness of HIQA, strong communication skills, and Level 1 Avista behavioural competencies.
