Trainee Accountant

About the role

A growing and well‑established accountancy firm is looking for a Trainee Accountant to join its finance team in Dublin. You will work closely with senior finance professionals, gaining exposure to accounts preparation, tax, and client management while continuing your professional exams.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of management accounts and financial statements
• Support month‑end and year‑end processes
• Prepare VAT, PAYE and other statutory returns
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations
• Liaise directly with clients regarding financial queries and documentation
• Support senior team members on a range of accounting and finance projects
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Required profile

• 1–2 years’ experience within an accountancy practice environment
• Currently studying towards ACCA, ACA or CPA, or planning to commence exams
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and double‑entry bookkeeping
• Good Excel skills and exposure to accounting software
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Eager to learn with a proactive and positive attitude
• Must hold a Stamp 4 visa or EU passport
