Transcon Agent

About the role

Expeditors is seeking a Transcon Agent to support the smooth flow of freight operations. You will work closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to ensure shipments are processed accurately and on time.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a smooth and timely freight process flow.
• Enter data accurately into the operational system.
• Track and trace Transcon files and generate reports.
• Prepare and verify client and vendor billing.
• Coordinate freight delivery and clearance when required.
• Interact with customers to arrange shipments that meet service standards.
• Build and sustain good relationships with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with all regulations and company policies.
• Respond promptly to network communications, emails and requests.
• Meet KPI targets as defined by company policy.
• Understand customer procedures and keep internal DLSOPs up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• 6 months to 1 year of related experience or equivalent education.
• Understanding of ocean documentation processes is a plus.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Pro‑active attitude with strong organizational abilities.
• Good computer proficiency, especially Excel and Word.
• Hazardous Materials certification preferred.
• Fluent in English.
