Active Directory Consultant (Remote, Contract)

About the role

emagine is seeking an experienced Active Directory Consultant to join its fast‑growing international consulting team. This contract role is primarily remote, with one day per month of onsite work in Cork, and focuses on strengthening AD security, optimizing directory structures, and supporting cloud identity integration.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the Active Directory Subject Matter Expert for client engagements.
• Lead AD security hardening initiatives and implement best‑practice controls.
• Support reorganisation and optimisation of Active Directory structures.
• Design and manage identity and access security controls.
• Contribute to broader Entra ID (Azure AD) and cloud identity integration projects.

Required profile

• Strong experience as an Active Directory SME.
• Proven track record in AD security hardening.
• Experience with identity governance and restructuring AD environments.
• Solid knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Hands‑on experience implementing or managing Multi‑Factor Authentication (MFA).
