Acute Nurse – Agency

About the role

Emerald Nursing is looking for experienced, compassionate agency acute nurses to join its growing team. You will provide nursing cover across partner hospitals in Dublin, delivering safe, high‑quality patient care while quickly adapting to new clinical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality nursing care in line with facility policies and regulations.
• Conduct patient assessments, monitor conditions, and accurately document findings.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and support staff.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with facility staff and agency coordinators.
• Respond to emergencies and follow established protocols.
• Uphold infection‑control and safety standards.
• Adapt swiftly to different units and workflow processes.

Required profile

• Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
• Current BLS/CPR certification and any other mandatory trainings.
• Minimum 6 months of acute nursing experience in Ireland.
• Ability to work independently in fast‑paced environments.
• Strong communication, assessment and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Reliable transportation to travel between multiple facilities.
