Staff Nurse – Residential/Respite Services

About the role

We are seeking experienced and motivated Staff Nurses to join our Residential/Respite Services team. In this role you will support individuals with intellectual disabilities to live full, meaningful lives within their community, delivering high‑quality nursing care in a person‑centred environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Residential Manager/Person in Charge with the effective operation of the service.
• Provide nursing care tailored to each individual's needs, respecting their wishes and goals.
• Promote a Human Rights‑Based Approach and involve individuals in decision‑making.
• Maintain dignity and respect in all aspects of care and support.
• Encourage community engagement and new interests for service users.
• Support overall health, wellbeing, skills development and confidence building.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Ireland (RNID, RPN, RGN).
• Post‑qualification experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
• Availability to work across a seven‑day roster, including days, nights and weekends.
• Full driving licence and willingness to drive company vehicles.

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Organisational and record‑keeping competence.
• Proficiency in report writing.
• Computer literacy and ability to follow policies and procedures.
