Advisor, Road Maintenance

About the role

The Advisor, Road Maintenance will ensure Lihir’s external road network, drainage systems and related civil infrastructure remain safe, compliant and operationally effective. Working onsite in a world‑class mining environment, you will lead maintenance activities, coordinate improvement projects and oversee contractor performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate road maintenance, drainage, civil works and infrastructure improvement across the Lihir operation.
• Manage and support contractors to deliver safe, high‑quality and cost‑effective outcomes.
• Promote a strong safety culture through visible leadership, risk management, inspections, audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and execute maintenance and project plans that keep road networks to required standards.
• Monitor operational performance, analyse data and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in road maintenance, drainage or civil infrastructure within a large‑scale operation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage contractors and lead safety‑focused teams.
• Strong project coordination and data‑analysis skills.
• Effective communication and leadership capabilities.
