Assistant Project Engineer - Wastewater

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Project Engineer to support the technical delivery of wastewater infrastructure projects across Ireland, the UK and international markets. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to all phases of project delivery from concept to construction supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Support development and delivery of engineering designs from concept through detailed design, construction and site supervision.
• Take direction from Senior Project Engineers and Project Managers while providing day‑to‑day technical guidance to junior team members.
• Manage assigned work packages, ensuring safe, on‑time and on‑budget delivery.
• Prepare technical deliverables such as reports, calculations, designs, drawings and specifications in line with company standards.
• Communicate project progress to internal stakeholders and clients, and help resolve technical challenges.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years experience in wastewater engineering, covering feasibility studies, detailed design, procurement and construction contract administration.
• Motivated to develop a long‑term consultancy career and progress professionally.
• Strong time‑management, organisational and communication skills.
