Android Team Lead (Hybrid, Dublin)

About the role

We are looking for an Android Team Lead to own the technical direction, quality, and delivery of our Android application used by millions worldwide. This hands‑on leadership position combines coding, architecture, and people management to ensure a fast, reliable, and secure product.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Android engineering team, set technical direction and architectural standards.
• Write production Kotlin code and build UI with Jetpack Compose; conduct code reviews.
• Own and evolve the CI/CD pipeline in GitHub Actions, including builds, signing, testing, and release automation.
• Drive a testing culture covering unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests.
• Manage technical debt, prioritize it against feature work, and communicate its impact.
• Mentor engineers of all levels, run 1:1s, give feedback, and support career growth.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Backend to scope, plan, and ship features end‑to‑end.
• Monitor and improve app performance, crash‑free rates, startup time, and Play Store quality.
• Recruit, interview, and onboard new Android engineers as the team expands.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading Android development teams.
• Strong hands‑on coding skills with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and performance monitoring.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration abilities.
• Track record of mentoring engineers and managing technical debt.

What we offer

• Up to €90,000 base salary plus a 10% annual bonus.
