Automation Shift Technician

About the role

The Automation Shift Technician works on the production floor to ensure that moulding and automation equipment run smoothly during each shift. You will collaborate with shift supervisors to start, stop, and troubleshoot machines, maintaining high uptime and compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Start and stop machines, troubleshoot automated systems, and resolve day‑to‑day processing issues.
• Perform on‑shift automation technical tasks to keep production at optimal performance.
• Carry out regular machine servicing and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair 24 V electrical components and pneumatic parts.
• Support installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of industrial control systems such as PLCs, PACs, and CPCS.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement and new‑product‑introduction projects.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping, and compliance with GMP and quality requirements.
• Analyse work orders, prepare reports, and document project status.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience as a moulding or automation technician in injection moulding.
• Experience in a medical‑device manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001/13485 quality standards.
• Ability to work in a controlled production area and under pressure.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and collaborative attitude.
