Back-End Software Engineer (Client Platform)

About the role

Consumer Edge is seeking a Back-End Software Engineer to join its Client Platform Team. The team builds web‑based products that give clients real‑time, transaction‑based insights. You will work in a distributed, cross‑disciplinary environment alongside engineers, product managers and UX designers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable micro‑service back‑ends and performant APIs for the client‑facing web platform.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions, ensuring type‑safe and functional code.
• Optimize system design for maximum performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional team members to deliver data‑driven features.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code in a DevOps environment.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer in a micro‑services, cloud‑native environment.
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript with an emphasis on type safety and functional programming.
• Proven ability to build and maintain RESTful services and work with SQL databases.
• Experience with a major cloud platform such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross‑team work.
