IT Field Engineer – North Dublin

About the role

Our client is launching a new roll‑out project and needs an IT Field Engineer to support multiple sites across North Dublin. The role is field‑based and involves installing, configuring, and maintaining a wide range of IT hardware, software, and network systems.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure PCs, laptops, and smart devices (iOS & Android) including IP settings, imaging and domain join.
• Deploy and support Virtual Desktop Environments using VMware.
• Maintain digital radio mobile equipment, antenna systems and CCTV infrastructure.
• Configure and support desk‑based telephony (Avaya/Cisco) and Control Room services.
• Perform network patching, and install/maintain networked printers and scanners.
• Produce technical documentation and knowledge‑base articles.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a field support engineering role.
• Full clean driving licence and own transport.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Irish/EU citizenship or Stamp 4 visa.

Required skills

• VMware virtualization technologies.
• Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange.
• Networking hardware and protocols – Cisco, HP, Aruba.
• Avaya and Cisco telephony systems.
• Installation and configuration of PCs, laptops, iOS & Android devices.
• Digital radio, antenna and CCTV systems.
