Communications Manager

About the role

The Central Remedial Clinic is seeking a visionary Communications Manager to define its national voice as it transitions to a rights‑based, evidence‑led disability service provider. This senior role will lead the organisational repositioning and build an integrated communications function from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy aligned with the 2025–2030 Strategy.
• Lead media engagement, narrative building and national campaigning across Irish media, healthcare and political landscapes.
• Manage stakeholder relationships with the HSE, government bodies, NGOs and disability organisations.
• Oversee strategic projects, departmental budgets and external creative agencies.
• Act as the primary organisational spokesperson and ensure consistent messaging across all channels.

Required profile

• Degree‑level qualification, preferably in communications or a related field.
• Proven senior communications experience in complex, change‑driven environments.
• Strong understanding of the Irish media, healthcare and political context.
• Demonstrated success in media engagement, national campaigning and issue framing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience as an organisational spokesperson.
• Ability to build and sustain high‑value partnerships across diverse stakeholders.
• Strategic thinker with solid project, budget and team‑leadership experience.
