Communications Manager – Strategic Repositioning

About the role
The Communications Manager will lead the creation and delivery of a national‑level communications strategy as part of the organisation’s 2025–2030 transformation plan. This senior position will shape the voice of the organisation, drive a full repositioning effort and build an integrated communications function from the ground up.
Key responsibilities
- Define and champion the organisation’s public narrative across all channels.
- Lead the organisational repositioning and manage communications during periods of change.
- Develop and maintain high‑value partnerships with the HSE, government bodies, NGOs and other key stakeholders.
- Oversee media engagement, public affairs activities and narrative building.
- Manage strategic projects, departmental budgets and external creative agencies.
Required profile
- Proven senior‑level experience in communications within a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead communications through organisational transformation.
- Strong track record in media relations and public affairs.
- Excellent stakeholder diplomacy skills, especially with health and government entities.
- Extensive experience in project and budget management.
