Compliance Analyst

About the role

The Maples Group is seeking a Dublin‑based Compliance Analyst to support its Ireland Compliance Officer. The role focuses on executing the firm’s compliance monitoring programme, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Compliance Officer with internal managerial reporting, data collation, analysis and production.
• Identify and report non‑compliant clients and KYC parties, and remediate outstanding KYC information promptly.
• Provide project support and implementation across the Maples Group.
• Review Financial Crime Compliance policies to ensure alignment with AML, CTF and sanctions requirements.
• Collate information and draft the annual financial‑crime risk assessment.
• Conduct monthly and quarterly reconciliation activities.
• Identify, assess and address control issues, escalating to the Compliance Officer as needed.
• Ensure employees receive appropriate AML induction and refresher training.
• Maintain lists of clients subject to enhanced due diligence and politically exposed persons.
• Apply enhanced‑due‑diligence procedures for higher‑risk triggers and escalate appropriately.
• Handle additional compliance‑related queries as assigned.
