Controls Technician 2 – Front End Day Shift

About the role

Dexcom is seeking a Controls Technician 2 to join the Applicators team on the front‑end day shift. The role provides technical support for the design, installation, validation, and transfer of custom automated equipment used in the scale‑up of manufacturing for existing and new Dexcom products.

Key responsibilities

• Support equipment engineers in improving, installing, validating, and transferring replicate custom automated equipment.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional deployment teams and external suppliers to meet equipment specifications and timelines.
• Interpret schematics, diagrams, and written or verbal instructions to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting.
• Test performance of electro‑mechanical assemblies using appropriate test equipment.
• Operate, test, and maintain robotic equipment and vision systems.
• Analyze and record test results, and prepare detailed documentation.
• Conduct operational testing and fault isolation on automated systems.
• Assist in equipment development activities, including assembly and testing, under the supervision of a project engineer.

Required profile

• Experience with pneumatics, electromechanical systems, PLCs, and robotic systems in a high‑volume manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and written instructions.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for troubleshooting and documentation.
• Capability to work effectively within a team and under supervision of senior engineers.
