Counter Assistant – Café & Retail (Full‑time)

About the role

Avoca is seeking a full‑time Counter Assistant to join the team at its Molls Gap café. You will be part of a vibrant retail environment that blends traditional Irish craftsmanship with modern hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of customer service in‑person and via phone.
• Prepare coffees and serve fresh food as a barista.
• Operate the till, scan items, process payments and manage queues efficiently.
• Replenish stock and maintain retail displays to Avoca brand standards.
• Perform opening and closing duties as directed by the line manager.
• Keep the store clean, tidy and aligned with brand presentation.
• Undertake ad‑hoc tasks assigned by management.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in a busy café environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Motivated, self‑driven and customer‑focused.
