About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dependable Dairy Farm Assistant to join our progressive dairy operation in South Kildare. This long‑term position is ideal for someone with a strong background in commercial dairy farming, a passion for animal care, and the ability to handle day‑to‑day farm duties confidently.

Key responsibilities

• Milking cows in a commercial rotary parlour environment.
• Assisting with calf rearing and overall animal husbandry.
• Carrying out general dairy farm duties, including feeding, cleaning, and health monitoring.
• Operating farm machinery and supporting daily farm operations.
• Maintaining high standards of animal welfare and farm hygiene.

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in dairy farming.
• Confident in milking cows and handling calves.
• Full driving licence.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Experience with large‑scale dairy operations.
• Competent operation of farm machinery.
