Defect/Integration Engineer – Semiconductor Fab

About the role

Analog Devices is expanding its Limerick wafer fab and is looking for a motivated Defect/Integration Engineer to drive defect reduction and yield improvement across multiple process layers. The role offers exposure to all fab areas and a fast‑paced environment where analytical thinking and rapid problem solving are essential.

Key responsibilities

• Lead defect reduction and yield improvement projects for assigned layers.
• Identify top Pareto items impacting defect density and work with work‑centres to implement solutions.
• Use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor inline defects, maintain control limits, and flag genuine issues.
• Detect excursions, respond quickly, contain issues, and develop preventive actions.
• Maintain and improve inspection recipes to maximise defect capture while minimising nuisance detections.

Required profile

• Curious, agile and flexible with a strong sense of urgency.
• Excellent problem‑solving and data‑analysis abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to learn detailed process flows and how different layers interact.
• Experience interpreting wafer cross‑sections (FIB, SEM, TEM, EDX) is a plus.
