DevOps Engineer – CI/CD & QA Automation

About the role

We are supporting a leading insurance client on a large‑scale transformation programme. The role bridges DevOps, platform engineering and quality assurance, focusing on building resilient CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain robust CI/CD infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Create and maintain automated smoke, integration, performance and security tests within the release lifecycle.
• Implement automated rollback and failover procedures to minimise downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to diagnose build failures and drive remediation.
• Drive continuous improvement of automation standards, testing practices and release quality.
• Prepare weekly system demos covering infrastructure health, performance benchmarks and security metrics.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in DevOps, CI/CD engineering and QA/testing environments.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Proactive ownership mindset with a focus on automation and platform resilience.

Required skills

• CI/CD pipeline design and deployment automation.
• Version control workflows (e.g., Git).
• Automated testing frameworks for integration and infrastructure testing.
• Scripting for reusable automation and verification (e.g., Bash, Python).
• Troubleshooting deployment failures and supporting remediation activities.
