DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes Migration (AWS, EKS, Terraform)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to join a fast‑growing AI scale‑up on a six‑month contract. You will work remotely within a tight‑knit DevOps team of four, leading the migration of existing services from AWS ECS to a Kubernetes (EKS) environment while maintaining the broader AWS‑based platform.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute the migration of containerised workloads from ECS to Amazon EKS.
• Design and implement infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions to support automated deployments.
• Ensure observability, monitoring and networking are correctly configured in the new platform.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to adopt best practices and improve platform reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience working in AWS environments (GCP experience is a plus).
• Hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes, specifically Amazon EKS.
• Previous involvement in end‑to‑end Kubernetes migrations.
• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Experience in senior or lead DevOps roles driving standards across teams.

What we offer

• Remote contract position with a daily rate of £450‑£550.
