Director – European Institutional Credit & Lending

About the role

We are looking for a Director to lead the European Institutional Credit & Lending team in Dublin, focusing on financial institutions across the EU. The role combines credit solution design, underwriting leadership and close collaboration with risk, legal and client‑facing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deliver credit solutions for EU financial institutions, broker‑dealers, asset managers and funds.
• Lead a team of underwriters through origination, structuring, negotiation of legal documents and underwriting of credit facilities and standby letters of credit.
• Coordinate with Credit Risk Management and Legal to ensure compliance with credit policies and appropriate risk mitigation.
• Partner with country executives, global client managers and relationship leads to address client credit and relationship needs across product lines.
• Contribute to the global Institutional Lending team’s objectives and performance targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (required); MBA, CFA, ACCA or FRM are a plus.
• Extensive experience in institutional and corporate lending, with deep knowledge of lending products and capital markets.
• Proven leadership experience managing and organizing underwriting teams.
• Strategic thinker able to see the big picture and act proactively.
