Financial Accountant (Spanish speaker)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Financial Accountant to support our Spain market operations from our European Service Centre in Swords, Dublin. The role offers flexibility and the chance to develop professionally within a dynamic finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the general accounting function, ensuring accuracy and control in a fast‑paced environment.
• Support month‑end close activities and produce accurate financial results.
• Maintain financial records in accordance with US GAAP and SPGAAP.
• Enter journal entries in the Oracle financial system and prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and assist with corporate tax filings.
• Handle queries from the Genpact team, GA team, and Spain buyers regarding fixed assets, journals, and purchase orders.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the Bank of Spain and other authorities.
• Analyse P&L accounts, provide cost‑control insights and respond to accounting queries from senior management.
• Undertake ad‑hoc requests from management and uphold Hertz’s mission and values.

Required profile

• Strong accounting background, preferably with a relevant qualification.
• Fluent Spanish language skills.
• Experience working with US GAAP and SPGAAP standards.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently.
