General Operative – Production Plant

About the role

College Proteins is seeking a General Operative to join its Production Team at the Rendering Plant in Farragh, County Cavan. The role is essential to maintaining efficient plant operations and supporting key performance indicators. You will work a 12‑hour rotating shift pattern covering days, nights and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the production PLC system to control processes, collect data and generate reports.
• Identify and report any production issues to the supervisor.
• Achieve process capacity targets and meet KPIs.
• Hand over critical information during shift transitions.
• Sample and deliver products to the laboratory for quality control.
• Perform routine facility maintenance, equipment inspection and preventative upkeep.
• Follow all safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
