Group Financial Controller

About the role

The Group Financial Controller will lead BoyleSports' finance operations across retail and online divisions, ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Finance Director, this hands‑on leader will provide the financial insight needed for senior‑level decision making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day financial processes including general ledger, accounts payable and treasury.
• Produce accurate monthly, quarterly and annual profit & loss and balance‑sheet reports.
• Oversee balance‑sheet reconciliations and consolidation of results across Ireland and the UK.
• Control cash flow, optimise working capital and manage cash‑management activities.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, audit and tax obligations in all jurisdictions.
• Identify financial risks and implement robust controls in line with accounting standards.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and resolve findings promptly.
• Prepare management reporting packs, KPI tracking and financial performance analysis.
• Support business units with financial insights to improve profitability.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance operations team.
