Information Technology Support Engineer

About the role

Our client in Dublin City Centre is seeking a permanent, fully onsite IT Support Engineer (Level 2) to join a growing team. You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a Microsoft‑based environment, delivering advanced technical assistance to end‑users and contributing to ongoing IT projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices and remote users.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Exchange Online.
• Manage Azure, Entra ID, Intune, MFA and user access permissions.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11 issues, networking, VPN, printers and hardware.
• Assist with server support, Active Directory, patching and backup operations.
• Support cybersecurity initiatives, endpoint protection and compliance standards.
• Participate in IT projects, system upgrades and continuous improvement activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
• Strong knowledge of Windows desktop support and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Intune/Endpoint Manager and Entra ID.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals such as DNS, DHCP, VPN and TCP/IP.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Background in a legal or professional services setting is desirable.
• Relevant IT qualification or equivalent experience; Microsoft certifications are a plus.
