IT Desktop Support Technician – Onsite (Long-Term Contract)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Desktop Support Technician to deliver onsite technical assistance to our end‑users in Longford. The role focuses on maintaining a reliable desktop environment, resolving hardware and software incidents, and providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT infrastructure and desktop support, including PC break/fix and desk‑side assistance.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, operating system, and networking issues (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP).
• Support Windows environments; assist with macOS and Linux as needed.
• Perform Smart Hands tasks on routers, switches, firewalls, racks, cabinets, and structured cabling.
• Analyze recurring incidents, implement preventive actions, and participate in problem management.
• Maintain accurate documentation and update ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.).

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT Desktop, Field, or End‑User Computing support.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift equipment up to 50 lb (23 kg).
