Lead Program Security Engineer

About the role

Mastercard’s Business Security Enablement (BSE) team is looking for a seasoned Lead Program Security Engineer to champion security for Data Commercialization and AI initiatives. You will act as the primary security advocate, guiding product, engineering, and operations teams to embed security by design throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with data and AI program teams to provide security risk guidance from discovery through deployment.
• Translate corporate security policies, standards, and controls into actionable guidance for development teams.
• Deliver targeted training and enable security champions across the organization.
• Maintain security dashboards and documentation, ensuring secure coding, data protection, and IAM controls are embedded in the SDLC.
• Advise on secure architecture, evaluate feasibility, and recommend optimal security solutions that meet regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in information security and secure engineering, preferably at a senior (L6) level.
• Proven ability to lead security efforts on large, complex, global initiatives.
• Strong collaboration skills with developers, architects, and business stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of security principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
