Learning and Development Specialist

About the role

The Group Learning and Development Specialist will be based at Dairygold’s Mitchelstown head office and report to the Group Head of Human Resources. This fixed‑term position covers maternity leave and is responsible for designing, delivering and coordinating learning programmes that support the People and Culture strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the Group Learning and Development strategy, ensuring best‑practice training processes and alignment with the annual budget.
• Update the Learning Needs Analysis and launch training initiatives that promote continuous learning.
• Manage the company’s Learning Management System and introduce online learning solutions for all employees.
• Support the rollout of mentoring, coaching and change‑management training programmes.
• Promote Diversity, Equity and Inclusion across HR processes, including recruitment and talent management.
• Report on training metrics, evaluating outcomes against business objectives and return on investment.
• Identify and secure third‑party funding to enhance the quality of training programmes.
• Partner with business leaders to understand future talent needs, improve talent management processes and build succession pipelines.
