About the role

The University of Galway seeks a part‑time Lecturer in Drama and Theatre Studies to support teaching and research activities. The role involves delivering undergraduate and postgraduate modules in at least two core areas such as playwriting, screenwriting, creative producing, theatre history or performance analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in at least two core areas.
• Develop and deliver curriculum material that balances practical and theoretical approaches.
• Participate in administrative duties related to the programme and the specific research project.
• Contribute to the department’s research agenda and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Required profile

• University‑level teaching experience or demonstrable ability to deliver high‑quality teaching as a professional practitioner.
• Expertise in at least one of the core areas listed above.
• Capacity for independent administrative work and a strong commitment to research.
