Maintenance Technician – Boat Maintenance

About the role

Le Boat is looking for a Boat Maintenance Technician to prepare its yard for the upcoming season. You will be responsible for receiving boats, performing winter preparations, spring commissioning, fall hauling, and keeping the marine shop stocked.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the fleet to the highest standards for reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Follow manufacturer maintenance schedules and perform mechanical repairs on 36‑ and 45‑ft fiberglass boats.
• Install electrical and mechanical equipment, including small fiberglass repairs (training provided).
• Collaborate with the Head Tech and Base Manager to prioritize tasks.
• Travel to off‑site locations for emergency repairs and support hauling, launching, commissioning, de‑commissioning, and gas‑dock operations.
• Handle technical interventions on pumps, batteries, diesel engines, electrical systems, propane, and hydraulic connections.

Required profile

• Technical studies or hands‑on experience with diesel engines, hydraulic systems, water pumps, or HVAC repair.
• Strong desire to learn and improve technical skills.
• Ability to read specifications and installation instructions.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and eligibility to work in Ireland.
• Fluency in English and willingness to work on‑site at the Carrick base.
