Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Limerick plant, reporting to the Engineering Manager. You will support plant maintenance and lead large‑scale improvement projects, ensuring reliability and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Manage assigned process areas within a multi‑disciplinary maintenance team, delivering preventive and predictive maintenance.
• Plan and oversee major shutdowns and overhauls, coordinating contractors and vendors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues to improve plant availability.
• Lead design, scoping, installation, commissioning and handover of major plant upgrades that deliver measurable business value.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial maintenance or project engineering.
• Strong understanding of health and safety standards in heavy industry.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and stakeholder management abilities.
• Commercial acumen and a detail‑oriented, independent work style.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
